August 31 School DaysMonday was the first day back to school =( Lots of classes throughout the day: Marketing, Management, 2 Information Systems classes. Total of 14 units, and lots of expensive books. I am pretty excited for one of my IS classes, it is on Geographic Information Systems. Not only will we be using some cool software, but the teacher is one of the best at Fresno State. However, the absolute best part of the semester is that this is the first semester that I have had Monday/Wednesday classes and Holidays ALWAYS fall on Mondays. In fact Labor day is one of these glorious days, and yeah I have to work. . . but hey beats sitting in class. Ouch, just bought my books and totaled $500. Spending $500 doesn't make me feel any smarter.
August 20 Family ReunionScott and Jeff were having a belly contest, and Dave was pointing out a stain from the delicious food. It is really fun to watch the Uncles and Aunts get together. They basically act like a bunch of little kids.
Pretty rare to get the whole family together, so great time to take a photo. Also pretty rare to get a picture of my beautiful wife and myself in the same picture so what a great day! I was at work and told someone I went to a family reunion, she asked what religion I was. I explained I was Christian of course, and she explained how family reunions are something that only Christians normally do. I've never heard that, what about you, Nole? August 16 WOW- Phelps for 7th Gold MedalAugust 13 Marky Mark's Wedding Mark and Mandy got married on August 2nd. Pretty typical wedding, but better since many Haynes and Lilleys had gathered to celebrate. Here are some photos of the wedding ceremony and the reception. Mica the best man pulled some shenanigans with the ring by giving Mark a ring pop. Mandy looked disappointed when she didn't get to keep the ring pop. Many cousins abounded at the wedding, and Mark took the safe action by not smashing cake in Mandy's face. When Grandpa came into reception area the grand kid flocked to him like little chickadees, nothing to do with Grandpas free hand with candy. Cayla, Tayrn and Emma helped with the first dance by showing some of their own moves, and Mica was lighting up the dance floor all night! August 02 Rehearsal + Kids = CRAZYDriving 10 hours and the going to a rehearsal with kids is super fun. It was nice to see Uncle Dave's family again since it is has been over five years since I saw them all last. Hear are a few photos of the rehearsal. After the rehearsal dinner we went bowling, then went to Mark's house for some foosball, and some racing on the X-box. Good times with cousin Mark. Mandy, Mark, and Micah getting their game faces on. While the rest of the family watched in awe. Mike and I are ushers. . . probably the best Ushers ever. Kids did not sit and color long, mostly running around getting into all kinds of trouble. Picture of Mark when he was just a young player, both these pictures were taken by Isaac man. |
